Easy Toddler Smoothies

by admin on August 3, 2008

Smoothies are great for toddler because they can provide extra servings of fruits or vegetables in a yummy, nutritious snack.

Any fruit or vegetable your toddler normally would eat can be blended up with milk, yogurt, and ice.

The possibilities are truly endless.

-Simply take frozen or fresh fruit/veggies (if you use frozen you will not need any ice)

-Your favorite yogurt flavor (vanilla or plain works best with vegetables, use any flavor with fruit)

-Add a splash of milk or your favorite juice.

-Place everything in a blender and in a few minutes you have a great morning or afternoon snack for your toddler.

Always serve smoothies in a regular or sippy type cup – never in a bottle.

Older kids (and moms!) love smoothies too, so none should go to waste. If you happen to have extra you can freeze the leftovers in popsicle molds for a delicious treat later on!
